I've done 3 outdoor trad climbing days with Pippa, from when I'd just started learning to climb indoors. She is amazing at matching what I want to learn and then pushing me just that one or two steps further than I think I am capable of! So I always finish the day feeling positive and motivated. I always feel safe and know that she is teaching me the best practice of trad techniques

Pippa was a fantastic guide for our first “proper” outdoor trad climb, having previously climbed indoors. She was very supportive, thorough and professional, as well as great to spend time with. We achieved something we didn’t expect to be able to because of her, so thank you! We’ll be back.

I spent the weekend on a trad problem solving course with Pippa, and she was absolutely brilliant! Her knowledge, experience, and delivery of the course content were outstanding. We had a full day out with Pippa for the purpose to develop our rope skills, scrambling and introducing us the gear placements, belays and numerous other rope skills. Pippa didn't disappoint! We learnt a bunch of valuable info we can take away and practice. Pippa was a delight and great instructor. Her experience is vast and knowledge is worth learning from. If you're serious about climbing and looking for a fantastic coach to help you reach your goals, then I highly recommend Pippa. I have the privilege of being coached by her and can't recommend her highly enough. Pippa is patient, skilled, collaborative, engaging, relaxed and fun! She has helped me with my technical skills, strategy, training, and the psychology and mindset required to work through my challenges. Pippa has taken my climbing to new heights and I wouldn’t made anywhere near the same progress without her.

I had a brilliant day out with Pippa near Shap looking at nav. I was hoping to increase my confidence and build upon the little I already knew, I came away feeling that was achieved and some. I felt at ease in her company and she did a really great job at tailoring the day around our experience and abilities. There was more than one of us and I felt time and care was taken to make sure we understood everything individually and got the best out of the day. I think anyone with any level of ability could learn something from spending the day with Pippa. She also supplied hot juice and a few laughs, v enjoyable day out!

Superb initial navigation day at Wet Sleddale. Absolutely nailed everything I wanted to give me confidence in my own ability to navigate off a trail quickly without it becoming an out and back. Brilliantly delivered by Pippa and moved it along seamlessly as we progressed. Would highly recommend. Fraser Butt

We had a really fun day walking around the southern side of Coledale Horseshoe. We are a family of 5 with 3 teenagers. Pippa is brilliant at involving them, showing them map reading skills, pointing out wildlife and keeping them motivated. She is also great at judging the ability and tiredness of each person and adjusting her plans. I'd highly recommend a day out with Pippa!

I had an excellent day with Pippa in the Langdale area. I am a complete climbing beginner, but Pippa was very patient, and explained everything really well. I learnt a lot, had an awesome time, and am really looking forward to doing some more soon! Would definitely recommend Pippa - she has so much knowledge and expertise, and is lovely company in the mountains too.

We had an excellent day climbing Place Fell, under the expert guidance of Pippa. She planned an interesting and varied route, taking in different terrain and some stunning views. Pippa achieved a great balance between leading us and encouraging us to develop our own map-reading skills. She had us well prepared with equipment and advice and although we avoided wet weather, we were ready for any eventuality. Most of all, it was really fun, and she makes great company for a day in the mountains.

We spent a day with Pippa around Patterdale and she was absolutely brilliant! We learnt lots of new skills and came away feeling much more confident about undertaking our own outdoor adventures. From initial planning right the way through to getting off the hill, Pippa put a lot of thought into ensuring we got as much as possible from the day. Her enthusiasm and knowledge is fantastic, so you are guaranteed to have a fun and educational time! We would definitely recommend Pippa and are looking forward to hopefully having another day with her in the future.

We had 2 days of climbing with Pippa in the Lake District which gave us an excellent first taste of outdoor climbing. Pippa’s wealth of climbing experience was really evident and we learnt loads from her. We were taken to some great locations with climbs perfectly suited to our ability. Pippa listened extremely closely to what we hoped to get out of the 2 days and tailored what we did to exactly suit us. Overall, we would highly recommend climbing with Pippa- you’ll learn lots and have a brilliant time.
