Please visit the Contact page to get in touch and agree the nature of your adventure with us.

Payment

We will send you a payment link for your activity. Your booking is only confirmed when a 50% deposit is received. Full payment is required 30 days before the date of the activity, or within 7 days of booking, or before the activity commences, whichever is soonest. For example:

  • Book more than 30 days before date of activity – full payment required 30 days before activity
  • Book between 30 and 7 days before date of activity – full payment required within 7 days of booking
  • Book within 7 days of activity – full payment required before date of activity

Cancellation

If you need to cancel your booking, for whatever reason:

  • Cancel more than 30 days before date of the activity – full refund will be given
  • Cancel between 30 and 14 days before the date of the activity – 50% refund on the price of activity will be given
  • Cancel within 14 days of activity – no refund will be given.

Although we make every effort to ensure activities run as scheduled, occasionally circumstances mean an activity cannot proceed as planned. We will notify you as soon as possible, and first attempt to reschedule the activity to an alternative suitable date. If that is not possible for you or for us, we will give a refund of any payments made. We take no responsibility for any other costs incurred by you, for example travel or accommodation bookings

Privacy policy

Personal information will be only acquired by Lakes Climber in order to deliver activities safely and effectively. This includes names of all participants, contact information, experience relevant to the activity, next of kin, and medical information. No information will be passed to any third parties other than as required in case of emergency.

We often take photos to share with clients after their activity, and/or to use as marketing material on Lakes Climber website and social media platforms. Please inform us at time of booking or on the day if you do not wish your image to be used for these purposes.

Risk and your responsibilities

Whilst we will do everything in our power to ensure your safety, the dynamic nature of the outdoor environment means we can never ensure your safety in every situation. You are responsible for accepting the risks of injury or death and we ask that you read the British Mountaineering Councils participation statement below.

Climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions.
